She was an honorary life member of the NBCYC having been a member since the early 1950's. My father Mr John Weatherby was Commodore for many years and then President of the NBCYC until his death. Some members will remember our family and Taylor built boat "Quiet Waters" which we moored at the Basin End for 30 plus years. Please would you advise members of her passing. The funeral will be held on Monday 20th November at 11.30am at Wesley Place Methodist Church, Alsager and all are welcome to attend."

I found a reference to Celia's father on this history page of our website. If any of you knew John or Edna Weatherby and have any anecdotes, I'm sure that Celia would be pleased to hear them, or to have seen you at her mother's funeral on Monday 20th November.

I have Celia Crompton's e-mail address. Just e-mail me using the Club's contact page. Many thanks.
