    Good evening, We have had a fire extinguisher company at the Club today and they have condemned all of our fire extinguishers. They did a thorough check of the Club’s buildings and we will have to have a complete fire risk assessment of the club done, which Chris is going to organise. Please be aware that members cannot store oil, petrol, diesel, turpentine or white spirit etc. in the Club’s sheds or on the Club grounds. It is the individual member’s responsibility to remove these items from the Club’s premises. Please can you ensure that you comply with this request. Best wishes Ian Law (Media Editor)

  • Posted 12th April 2026: Sent for and on behalf of Chris Taylor – land and buildings. ABC Basin End will be carrying out craning on the following dates this coming week…. Wednesday the 15th AM and Thursday the 16th AM. As always you are welcome to use our car park during these times. Please follow the direction of any member of staff during these times.   • Posted 11th April 2026: It is with the sadest of news that I have to inform the club that Bill Candeland, a long standing member and former Club Commodore, passed away yesterday morning 10th April 2026. Many members will remember Bill’s work for the club, particularly the building of the toilet block. The necessary page, if people wish to send cards or a message is here – Bereavement Notices.   • Posted 9th April 2026: Sent for and on behalf of Chris Taylor – land and buildings. Please be aware of the following craning at ABC Basin End. We will be carrying out a craning on Wednesday 6th May 2026. Please feel free to use our front car park should you wish to enter or leave the Marina.   • Posted 9th April 2026: The club water supply has now been turned ON.

  • Posted 29th March 2026 : Our Commodore, Jeanette, has left in the signing in hut, a brief welcome note and a Club keyring for your boat. It is labelled to the name of your boat and has been left for you to collect because it can’t be safely left on your boat. Any queries then please contact Jeanette.

  • Posted 17th March 2026 : On Saturday 11th April there is going to be a “Spring Tidy” of the club. Starting time is around 0900-0930. This will include painting, cleaning, and a general tidy of the site. We need everyone’s help no matter how little it is or whatever your limitations are. There will be something for everyone to do. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits and also Lunch will be provided. Send your availability to Chris (Land and Buildings).
